Callie's childhood years
Callie in the common room of her first-year dorms
Callie moved in to Flexor dorms (named after Emmie's father who bankrolled the renovation of the building) with Emmie and Romain. The dorms were fairly large, and something was always happening, day or night, which was, to begin with, a bit of a culture shock for Callie. Having Emmie there was a great help - fun-loving Emmie was in the midst of anything going on and dragged Callie along with her, and Callie found the transition a lot easier with her best friend by her side.
Callie in her dorm room, studying hard
Flexor halls were an old castle-like building, with a formal dining room, a large old-fashioned library, and an informal common room with small kitchenette. Callie felt very much at home there and worked hard to meet her grade requirements for her first year.
Romain was planning to join the specialist science department at the College anyway, and so Callie didn't need to think through her decision much before agreeing and the two girls excitedly set about planning.
The girls' first chapter meeting
Over the summer, Callie and Emmie worked hard getting together the funds they needed (a lot came from their families) and decorating the building that Emmie had picked out. They also chose their first two pledges - Callie's younger sister Lilly who was just starting her first year, and Laci Thayer, a friend of Emmie's.
The first meeting was a great success and the girls were all very excited for the future of their Sorority. Emmie gave an inspiring speech and the girls were fired up for their first year together.
And of course, their first toga party!
As Callie was elected Vice-president, she got her own room, and Romain was a constant visitor.
Callie was also initiated into the Secret Society.
