Callie's childhood years

back to Callie's bio

Callie is the first born child of Jemima and Mitch Indie. She was born in their small flat, shortly before the family moved to the Lakes, to be nearer Jemima's parents Pixie and Ben.

She inherited her father's tanned complexion and dark hair, but most of her mother's facial features. Life in the Lakes was a pleasant one - Jemima made great progress through the Law career and the family had a large, modern home with a spacious garden. There was always plenty for little Callie to explore and play with.

Callie made a couple of close friends at school - Emmie Flexor, daughter of her father's best friend from College, and Callie became especially close. The two girls were near inseparable, often joined by Callie's younger sister Lilly. Callie also made friends with Arran Powers and Romain Sharpe - two boys in her year at school.

And when Callie turned 13, it seemed that Arran was quite impressed.

Arran didn't take long before making a move on Callie and becoming her first love.  Which would have been a lot nicer if Arran wasn't also romantically involved with every other teenage girl in town!! Callie's parents weren't too happy that their daughter was hanging out with such a bad influence too. Arran lived in the run down part of town, his parents were both college drop-outs and their house was always a mess. Arran was frequently failing school and getting into trouble... and shortly after Callie's best friend Emmie became a teenager, he was already hitting on her!

It nearly became the thing that tore the two girls apart, but luckily, they got through the drama. Both girls knew that Arran wasn't good enough for either of them and so they put the whole drama behind them.

Besides, Callie was already starting to set her sights on someone else.  Romain Sharpe was a much nicer guy - incredibly smart and obviously better boyfriend material. What Callie didn't know was that he liked her too, but it took forever for the pair to get the nerve to push their relationship beyond just friendship. Finally, though, Romain got up the nerve and asked Callie out on a date.

The pair went to the roller-rink and really hit it off, sharing their first kiss outside (in the rain!)

More dates followed, and Callie and Romain got closer and closer.

Callie was doing well at school, and also helping her parents out with her youngest sister, Sophia, at home. But soon enough the time came to be heading off to College. Callie was a little nervous, but she was going to be joined by Romain and Emmie, so she knew that she'd be fine and she was excited about the prospect of moving away from home!
