Bianca's Apartment Tour

Bianca Monty currently lives by herself in 1c of Bichelli Street Apartments.

As she's just finished unpacking everything, she invites her parents over for breakfast and to have a look around her new place.

Isabella isn't amused at her husband and daughter gossiping about her RIGHT in front of her. lol. Anyway - on with the tour! The front door opens on to a small corridor with a staircase up, and Bianca's apartment is on the first floor.

There is a modest-sized living room. It's a little bare and the furnishings are cheap at the moment as Bianca's savings went into buying the apartment.

A small sunny kitchen, perfect for Bianca to practice her love of cooking.

The bathroom is small, but functional... she could really do with a mirror in here =/

Bianca's bedroom is very serene and calm.

And there is a second bedroom to expand into.

Finally, a roof terrace just off of the kitchen is the perfect place for Bianca to share breakfast with her parents.

Here's the floorplan. It's not a large place, but as it's Bianca's first 'real' home, she is very happy with it and looks forward to being able to redecorate, furnish it properly and really put her own mark on the place.

 

...her boss, Connie, however, does not like the TV. hehe.

Game-play Note: In Veronaville (and also Monte Vista for sims3) there are some age discrepancies as to the ages of this generation of Montys. In my game, I just adjusted ages to make Bianca 31 and Antonio 35... Claudio would have been 33 or 34 and been very young when he and Olivia had Mercutio... I just can't think of Bianca as any older than that so this is what makes sense to me. =)

Bianca has just moved in to a new apartment in the urban part of Eastside Veronaville. Rather than living in a poky little bedsit, she now has a two bedroom apartment. She's still desperately hoping that one day soon there will be a baby for the second bedroom, but she's starting to think that, at 31, perhaps her chances of the family life have passed.

Veronaville - Bichelli Apartments

Another Eastside lot. This is partially copied from a maxis-built house in Monte Vista for the sims 3.

I came across this picture when I was looking for inspiration for the 'urban' part of Eastside Veronaville and really liked the way it looked with the roofs and terraces, so I decided to do a sims 2 version:

You can see the left side of this is a very close copy. On the right side, I improvised, leaving space for one car parking and widening the building to fill the lot up. I think my lot ended up being deeper than the sims 3 version as well.

For address purposes (which probably matters to no-one but me lol), the cream/yellow part on the left is 'number 1' and the cream/putty part on the right is 'number 3'.

Number 3 has an external staircase to one of the apartments.

As I only had a picture of the front of the building, the back and the floor plan were completely improvised. At the back I tried to get a sprawling urban Italian feel that looked like bits had been added on in time. There are a couple of back entrances round here too.

The ground floor holds three apartments.

The main entrance at the front of number 1 (with the blue door) leads to two small 'bedsit' apartments, 1a and 1b, a toilet and the staircase up.

The apartment on the left of this picture, 3a, is accessed by a door from the back yard of this lot. It's a medium sized, potentially two bedroom space.

The apartment accessed by the external staircase, 3b, can be seen here on the left of this picture. This apartment also includes some of the floor above. The rest of this floor is apartment 1c which currently belongs to Bianca Monty, the lot's only resident at the moment.

And the top floor has the rest of 3b, and 1d.

I don't have Apartment Life, so this is just a regular residential lot with the apartments designated using Myne doors (from University).

Veronaville - Pentameter Plaza

This blog entry needs to be updated with more recent pictures as I've rebuilt this lot since the great crash of 2012 and changed a couple of things.

Pentameter way was one of the original community lots in Eastside Veronaville. It used to sell groceries and magazines. I decided to change this lot to a coffee shop and clothes shop.

I hate these huge pointless car parks.

I decided for this lot to use Mexican inspiration as well as the Mediterranean feel.

As you can see, I changed the two buildings a lot, adding floors and expanding the floor space of both sections. The white side is the coffee shop with outside, covered, seating area. The orange and blue building is a cheap fashion store.

 The upstairs of both these buildings are accessible, but not currently in use.

Fairly simple inside. I didn't really touch the toilets section at all. The fashion shop sells clothes, perfume and jewelry, and has a large changing room.

Veronaville - Stratford Strip Gym

This was one of the original community lots in Veronaville. It was initially half grocery, half games shop - both of which I already had elsewhere - so I decided to remodel and turn it into a simple gym and pool.

I use a community skilling mod so my sims can improve their body skill on this lot.

I did expand the middle bit forwards a couple of squares, and I joined up the center gap. Otherwise it's pretty much the same as it was before. The large empty space beside the building is now the pool with two sunken hot tubs.

I redid the courtyard a little, just to match the style of my Eastside buildings elsewhere.

The main entrance can be seen bottom left, with the front desk. Along the back are the changing rooms with toilets and showers. The gym is on the right side with a variety of equipment for customers to make use of. In the hallway area there is a small coffee stand and a couple of tables to sit and have a coffee at.

I've played Veronaville so many times that each time I come back to this hood, it's like greeting old friends. hehe.

Last time, I didn't make too much of the family feud. This time it's WAR!

Patrizio Monty

Patrizio was working for Contessa Capp's father and fell in love with her. He was heartbroken when she left him for Consort and never forgave the man for not only stealing his girl, but also persuading Contessa's father to force Patrizio out of the company.

At one point it looked like Mercutio had managed to put the past behind him. The Capps had taken his parents, and he'd never forgive them for that... but his crush on Hermia was making him view the family in a different light. Maybe they weren't all bad? One night, however, Mercutio walked in on Hermia making out with Puck Summerdream. He was furious! Apparently all the Capps were the same - worthless, cheating scum! He wouldn't rest until Veronaville was Capp-free - and having Crime ring leader Anthony Puzo on side seemed like a good place to start...

Romeo doesn't care much for the family feud at the moment - he's more concerned with having fun and spending his time with pretty girls, including Juliette Capp. He knows that his family won't approve, but it's not like he's planning to marry her or anything. He works for the family after school and quite enjoys the restaurant business, so would like to carry on with that when he leaves school.

Veronaville - Monty Ranch lot tour

An update from my Veronaville hood today. Well, I say my Veronaville hood, but when I had issues with crashing earlier this year, I lost most of this hood. Luckily I had detailed floorplans and images of my lots and so I've been able to rebuild... and I'm restarting the storylines there with some different matches, just to see what happens ;)

This is a lot that I've rebuilt differently though. Monty Ranch is one of those lots that in its original state just leave me wondering what the guy who built it was thinking. It's a HUGE lot and yet 80% of it is totally unusable with tiny tiny rooms and wasted space in the form of endless corridors. Now I love covered walkways as much as the next Mediterranean architecture enthusiast... but this lot needs WORK to be usable for a family.

Before I post the pics of my end result, I just want to say that I was heavily inspired by Galialady's makeover of this lot and some parts are very similar, if not copied. That said, on with my pics! =D

Externally I made a few changes. I added a 'fake' first floor over the front part, just to give the front facade some interest. I took out all of the arches, knocked the rooms through into the walkways, and then added some connecting pillars around the front. The annexe, where the master suite is, got a bit of an extension.

I added a garden wall and entrance gate like Galialady did because I really liked the way hers looked. =) The area to the front of the annexe is car parking for up to 4 cars. These mini pools at the front are purely for decoration.

Behind the annexe part of the house, there is a proper pool and sunken hot tub.

The layout of the main part of the house - with the outside corridors knocked through, the two front rooms are now a decent size - I've made one the living room and the other the dining room. I haven't really done much with these besides change the wall colour and add some extra windows. On the left side, beside the dining room, is the kitchen. The area which used to be the dining area is now just a walkway through to the annexe. Beside that, opposite the kitchen, is a bedroom, currently used by twins Benedict and Beatrice (I moved Antonio and his kids back in with his parents so he can continue working). A small corridor leads from that room through to the memorial room, which I pretty much haven't touched, and also a bathroom shared by Antonio and the twins. The other side of the memorial is Antonio's room which is very small and basic.

The right side of the house holds Mercutio's room, Romeo's room and the boys' bathroom.

The center courtyard now has some plants and a fountain which makes it a much nicer place to sit and contemplate!

The annexe is a little larger than before and now has a walk-in closet as well as the en-suite bathroom. The steps lead up to a small room and the balcony, which Isabella uses as a hobby area for painting and flower arranging.

Mercutio is currently 17 in my game and working in the criminal career track (hence the suspicious dagger on his desk). He has a sofa-bed, so it can become a sofa if he has friends over (I have a matching sofa which I swap in and out of his inventory).

Romeo's room is pretty plain, filled with cheap furniture and, much to his dismay, he doesn't yet have a double bed. Mwahaha.

The twins have a very colourful room with lots of toys and posters =)
