Roxie Powers nee Sharpe

Roxie has always been a punk rocker. She's had to deal with a lot of hardships in life (admittedly a lot are down to her own bad decisions) but she's taken them all head-on and worked very hard to succeed. Despite the fact that Jonah and her have always struggled with money and lived in rather poor conditions, they've led a mostly happy life and have stayed together despite all the odds and the predictions of their neighbours.

Romance History: Jonah was her boyfriend at college and due to an unplanned pregnancy, they ended up dropping out together and getting married quickly.

Jonah Powers

Jonah lived life at college as if there were no consequences - and then he found himself having to deal with them! He's struggled to hold down a job, hopping through various career paths. He had an excellent relationship with his son Arran though, determined to be a good role model (although his neighbours may disagree on this!) He and Roxie live a life that many others look down on, but really they don't care and live to enjoy life.

Randy Powers

Once Arran had grown up and moved out, Roxie and Jonah decided to use their spare room to foster children in need and Randy is their current foster-child. He's a quite shy and quiet boy, unlike his foster parents, who was originally from the city Madison Central and placed into foster care when his single mother got ill and could no longer care for him. Randy is enjoying living out in the country now surrounded by open spaces and lakes. He gets on really well with Roxie who is now retired and spends lots of time with him.

Starfield Shack

The shack from the road. The whole lot is usually in a state because Roxie and Jonah are very messy and have little time for clearing up. The lean-to on the side was added when Arran was born.

Randy's room. This hasn't been redecorated properly since Arran was a child - hence the old space theme wallpaper. Through his teen years Arran added all of the posters, and Roxie and Jonah haven't redecorated the room since he moved out. Randy doesn't mind at the moment, although I get the feeling that as he settles into the family, he'll start decorating the room himself to his own tastes, possibly with some artwork. =)

Powers Background 1

 Roxie Sharpe and Jonah Powers are EA created sims from the Academie Le Tour. In my game they didn't stay in college particularly long. partly because they spent waaay more time making music than they did studying.

 And also because lots and lots of unprotected woohoo led to an unexpected (but inevitable) pregnancy! Roxie's brother Edwin moved in with his girlfriend Delilah, and Roxie and Jonah both dropped out of college in order to throw a family together and give their baby a chance.

Here they are grown up and ready to move on.

They moved in to 'Starfield Shack' - a cheap and very run-down place on the edge of town. Roxie got a job as a legal secretary, and Jonah as a fast food restaurant employee. Both their engagement and wedding itself were very low-key - the couple had no family (besides Roxie's younger brother) who could support them and with a baby already on the way, money was extra tight.

Starfield Shack was far from the glamorous rockstar life they both dreamed of, but with a small bedroom, bathroom and living area with kitchenette, it was all the young couple needed. They squeezed their all-important instruments into the porch.

Their furniture was cheap and mostly reclaimed junk, with a few posters thrown on the walls to try and brighten it up a bit.

 And way sooner than the couple would have liked, it was baby time!

Without much room for the baby, the couple built a breezeblock lean-to on the side of their house - just big enough for a tiny nursery for baby Arran. They also made over the bathroom to make it a little more child-friendly.

They may not have had much money and both were working hard, but Roxie and Jonah were still determined to be excellent parents to little Arran. Jonah switched to nights and they worked in shifts so there was no need for a nanny.

 All too soon baby Arran was growing up and preparing for school. Roxie worked hard to repaint Arran's room into the perfect little boy's room with a cool space theme.

 Jonah and Arran spent quiet time together fishing in front of the house.

 And then eating the fruits of their labour!

 Roxie, meanwhile, was progressing through the Law career track, working hard to get promoted and bring in more money to the family. She had to because Jonah kept getting fired from his jobs x.x

 Roxie also helped Arran with his homework, being slightly brighter than her husband. XD

Romain's childhood and college days

Romain was the eldest child of Delilah and Edwin - two of EA's sims from the Academie Le Tour. With such geeky parents, it was probably destiny that Romain would turn out to be a scientist lol.

Romain's early years were quite basic. Delilah and Edwin didn't have a lot of money, so they lived in a small bungalow in the suburbs. With both parents working to try and make ends meet, Romain and his younger sister were mostly raised by the nanny - but Romain didn't mind. He was too busy concentrating on his logic toys to be bothered.

Romain made close friends with Lilly Indie - the middle Indie daughter. They spent a lot of time playing together after school.

And, of course, Romain took his homework very seriously. With such a scientific background, he really did have the best learning environment at home, with all the latest science gadgets.

 Romain gets an A+

To make up for his lack of birthday parties previously, Delilah decided to throw Romain a proper party (and then stood there in her pjs!!). Guests included Arran Powers (on the left) and his mother Roxie (green shirt), Jemima Indie and her three daughters Sophia, Lilly (pink trousers) and Callie. Romain's little sister Rebecca is in the pink dress and Edwin coming down the stairs.

The party was a great success and it was really the first time that Romain properly saw Callie Indie - his best friend's older sister... and a crush started brewing.

Romain started spending time with Callie as well as Lilly - it was quite common for the three of them to hang out together in the evenings or at weekends.

And after a long while of secretly longing for her, Romain got up the nerve to ask Callie out on a date. After a few more dates the two agreed to go steady. Romain was over the moon.

 Romain, Callie and Emmie Flexor all started College the same year and spent their first year in Flexor Halls. Whilst the two girls spent a lot of time socialising and making contacts, Romain was most commonly found in the library, or in his room studying. He took the Physics major and set his sights on joining the new Science Academy at the College.

Sure enough, when the Science Academy was opened, Romain was the first of their students. The facility was exactly what Romain wanted - all of the specialist equipment, including Robotics stations and greenhouses for intense biology studies. Romain concentrated on improving his skills.

But he and Callie stayed strong throughout the four years of college and in their final year, over a lobster dinner, Romain proposed - and Callie said yes!

The final year whizzed by quickly and soon it was time for Romain to graduate. He was excited to get back to town and embark on his Medical career!

Initially built: As home to Pixie and Ben - only the very right hand side (as far as the porch) was the original house.

Currently home to: Ben Long, Callie Sharpe, Romain Sharpe, Susie Sharpe and Samuel Sharpe

Terrible, terrible lack of landscaping out the back hehe. One day I will get around to doing something pretty out here.

The ground floor - the porch opens into the hallway and kitchen/dining which is fairly open plan. To the right, in the oldest part of the house, is Ben's bedroom and bathroom. Off of the kitchen, there's a small utility room.

South of the dining area is the office, and to the right there's Callie and Romain's bedroom and bathroom, and the living room, with further decking on the side of the house.

Upstairs, there is a large open plan area which has games and musical instruments etc in it, then there is Susie's room (still a nursery in this picture as she's only just aged up to a child) and bathroom, and Sammy's nursery.
